Contracts have been received from all but two judges selected for the 2008 show season.

Treasurer Report
Funds status was reviewed with expenditures for year end awards and banquet reflected in club
balances
Royalty Report
No response has been received from Evening Magazine.  The Daffodil Parade is the week before
the April show and Laura may be participating.   Requests were made for contributions to the
Silent Auction to benefit the Royalty Court (and some were turned over to Sue at the end of the
meeting).  A motion to fund Laura’s airline ticket to the Spring Convention was approved.   A
motion to fund sashes and tiaras for the Junior Court was approved.  Because of  schedule
conflicts the Coronation ceremony may not occur at the Awards Banquet and will be performed at
the April show during lunch break on Saturday if need be.
Year-end Banquet/Awards
A short status report was given indicating that all activities are proceeding on schedule.  Dale
and Vanessa announced that VanMar Arabian/Pintos will be sponsoring Reserve High Point
Awards for the five Youth categories to be handed out at the banquet.
Attention all youth and adults with youth spirit:
Are you interested in getting to know other youth in PtHAWW? Or maybe you just want to
get away from the competition for a while. Well come join the Youth Spirit Club. Starting this show
season we are going to be holding a “meeting” with anyone interested in having fun. There’s
going to be pizza, games, and a ton of laughs. This idea was brought to the board by Danielle
Smith and Mallory Dobbs, so if you have any questions contact them. Hope to see everyone so we
can add some fun to the shows!!!

2008 Show Dates

      Let’s Go Show – April 18, 19, 20
      Big Six – July 18, 19, 20
      Poor Boy Show – Sept 12, 13, 14

A discussion of awards for the April show indicated that we had ‘left-over’ Hi Point and first place
class awards to cover much of the requirement for this show.  Two motions, one to authorize the
purchase of additional Hi Point and another to authorize the purchase of additional First Place
awards for the April show were passed.   Vanessa will take inventory and proceed to purchase
any additional awards necessary.

In response to the need to try to increase participation at our shows, Dale and Vanessa (jointly
with Mike’s Western Suppliers and CL Western Clothing of Enumclaw) are sponsoring a Circle Y
western saddle to be raffled at the Let’s Go April show.   Entries will be awarded to participants
for each five classes entered and/or may be purchased for $10 each.   The winner can select their
choice of saddle color, tree width, and seat size.   If a significant increase in class participation
results, the club will be asked to consider funding a Crates saddle for the Big Six show.

The meeting was adjourned at @8:15

Next scheduled meeting will be at Krickett’s in Spanaway on March 11, 2008. Dinner at 6pm and
