Seasons Greetings were received from three judges, the Millers and one whose name escaped
Kim at the meeting.  Courtney Brown was excused from the meeting to stay at home with Abigail
LeAnn Brown who was born Sunday January 6th….Happy New Year to the Browns!
Treasurer Report
Funds status was reviewed with no significant changes noted from the last report.  Year-end
financial performance was reported for 2007.  The club posted a $7000 operating loss much as
forecast.   Given the minimal changes in fee structure for 2008, improved financial performance is
dependant on increased show participation.
Sector Director
Margaret reported that storms in Oklahoma had resulted in computer outages, delaying PtHA
activities, but that equipment was back online.
Royalty Report
Gretchen reported that Laura Henning is trying to get sponsors to support her Queen activities
for 2008 and would appreciate any additional items anyone can donate to the banquet auction.
Laura would like to participate in the Relay for Life and has approached King 5 Evening Magazine
about a segment on club activities.   The possibility of a piece on eveningtips@king5.com to
promote PtHAWW is being pursued and Gretchen will prepare a write-up for their consideration.
(Editors note – Gretchen has done this. King 5 sent her back a quick thank you note and said they
would consider it.  Gretchen indicated that if you go to www.king5.com and click on Evening
Magazine, there is a section at the bottom that asks for story ideas).
Year-end Banquet/Awards
Possible dates and locations were presented and a motion was passed to book King Oscars in
Tacoma for the evening of March 1st.  Jodie Trueblood will book the date for the banquet.
Jennifer Freudenstein will be in charge of Year End awards this year.  She will be contacting
members if she needs help in completing this task. Thanks Jennifer!!!
A motion was made and defeated to authorize Reserve Champion Awards for 2007 in two cases
where the top two finishers were within less than one percent of each other.

Two new categories for 2008 year-end results were also established.  These are Youth and
Amateur Showmanship - Minis.
